Home and Away Ministries

There may be a time when you cannot get help...
But there is never a time when you cannot give help!
ABOUT US
Hello! I’m Lyn Sahr the founder and Executive Director of Home and Away Ministries, Inc. Our ministry is about people… real people. People just like you and me! From the youngest to the oldest we believe that people of all ages are important to God and should be important to us. It is our mission To support pastors and churches for the common cause of Christ, to develop cross-cultural relationships between churches in America and other countries and cultures and use corporate surplus to help fight poverty, hunger and disease at home and away from home.

Home and Away Ministries was developed out of the ministry of the
ChurchMouse Chronicles. It’s daily inspirational has been sent to people in countries around the world in English and Spanish since 1997. In 1999 it began sending short-term missions teams to small missions churches in Mexico and continued to do so until the formation of Home and Away Ministries. The focus in Mexico is to establish long term relationships with the pastors and churches to encourage and support them in any way possible. Home and Away Ministries was founded in 2003 by Lyn Sahr for the purpose of more effectively carrying out the missions and outreach ministry. He is the founder of the ChurchMouse Chronicles and the founding pastor of Pine City Community Church, an independent church planted in Pine City, Minnesota in August of 2002. Home and Away Ministries is not affiliated with any denomination and depends solely on the financial support of those with a heart for this ministry. Our organization is an evangelical Christian organization (See Statement of Faith) .

Home and Away Ministries, Inc. is a 501 C 3 non-profit corporation operated by a board of directors with staff and associated ministries to help carry on its mission. For more information please contact us.

On a Personal note... Meet My Motivational Team!

These four are a driving force in my life. Too often people, organizations and churches fail to understand the concept of investing in the next generation. We must teach by example and through the educational process the love of Christ and His love for mankind. I want to spend as much time with my Motivational Team as possible because they teach me about the important things in life. They can barely read or write but they know how to say “I love you,” I’m sorry” and “Grandpa!” No wonder Jesus loved the little ones like these!
